Northview had to endure a five-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Escambia Gators by a score of 8-0 on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Chiefs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Northview's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Escambia, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Northview will welcome Pensacola at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northview hasn't scored more than eight points for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse. Escambia will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Tate at 5:30 p.m. on March 24th.
