Baseball Recap: Old Bridge Takes a Loss

Old Bridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the South Plainfield Tigers. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Brody Nugent made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Old Bridge now has a losing record of 3-4. As for South Plainfield, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

While Old Bridge had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
