Volleyball Recap: Walpole Comes Up Short

Walpole was the 3-1 winner over Weymouth when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Timberwolves fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Timberwolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The 3-2 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Walpole lost were decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 23-25, 20-25, 25-23, 15-13.

Walpole's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Weymouth, their win ended a 12-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-12.

Walpole has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Natick on the 10th. As for Weymouth, they will challenge Cohasset at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
