Softball Recap: Edison Comes Up Short

Edison had lost four straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 12-11 to make it five. They fell just short of the Bullard Knights by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered since April 14th.

As for Bullard, they have been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games.

For Bullard's part, Amyah Fabian spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit.

On the hitting side, Bullard's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Emma Galicia, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Edison didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 4-1 victory against Righetti on the 16th. As for Bullard, they have also already played their next game, a 4-2 defeat against St. Joseph on the 16th.
