Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Key West). Everything went their way against the Sports Leadership & Management Spartans on Saturday as they made off with a 17-7 victory. This was a revenge game for the Conchs: when they faced off against the Spartans last Friday, they had to take a 6-5 defeat.

Roman Garcia was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Kade Maltz, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Key West always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sports Leadership & Management only posted an OBP of .444.

Key West's record is now 12-8. As for Sports Leadership & Management, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-12.

Key West has already played their next matchup, an 11-9 defeat against Mater Academy Charter on the 2nd. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-0 loss against IMG Academy Silver on the 2nd.
