Soccer Recap: Lewisville Takes a Loss

Lewisville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Governor's School for Science & Math Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Governor's School for Science & Math this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.

Lewisville's goal came courtesy of Mason Morrison, who's now up to three this season.

Lewisville's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Governor's School for Science & Math, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Lewisville will challenge Ridge Spring-Monetta at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Governor's School for Science & Math, they will face off against Hartsville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
