Baseball Preview: West Clermont Wolves vs. Walnut Hills Eagles

The West Clermont Wolves will head out on the road to challenge the Walnut Hills Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. West Clermont will be strutting in after a victory while Walnut Hills will be coming in after a loss.

West Clermont proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by eight) but on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Campbell County and snuck past 3-1.

Caden Yearwood looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (he also didn't allow any walks).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Michael Hibbs, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Austin Randolph was another key contributor, going 1-for-2 with a stolen base, a double, and an RBI.

Meanwhile, Walnut Hills had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of Roger Bacon by a score of 5-3 on Saturday.

West Clermont now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Walnut Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
