Soccer Recap: West Stokes Takes a Loss

West Stokes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Mount Airy Granite Bears, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, West Stokes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 379th, while Mount Airy are ranked 184th).

West Stokes' defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Mount Airy, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

West Stokes will be playing at home against Forbush at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mount Airy, they will venture away from home to take on South Stokes at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
