Soccer Recap: Midview Comes Up Short

If Midview was riding high fresh off their 4-0 takedown of Holy Name last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Middies came up short against the Bay Rockets on Tuesday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Midview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 294th, while Bay are ranked 31st).

Midview has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12-2 record this season. As for Bay, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-3-2.

Midview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bay, they will take on Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bay's defense better be ready for this one: Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin have averaged an impressive 2.9 goals per game this season.
