Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Natalie Clark and Claire Brugger Lead Mccool Junction to Victory

McCool Junction waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They secured a 43-38 W over the Twin River Titans. That's two games straight that the Mustangs have won by exactly five points.

McCool Junction was led to victory by Claire Brugger and Natalie Clark. Brugger dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 boards, while Clark posted 14 points. The dominant performance also gave Brugger a new career-high in assists (eight). Another player making a difference was Dakota Wollenburg, who put up five points.

McCool Junction's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Twin River, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McCool Junction will take on Shelby-Rising City in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. McCool Junction is facing Shelby-Rising City at the right time seeing as Shelby-Rising City is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Twin River, they will venture away from home to take on Fullerton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
