While Lake Oconee Academy's victory against Jones County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Titans skirted past the Greyhounds 2-1. The win was familiar territory for the Titans, who have now won four contests in a row.

Lake Oconee Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-14, 15-7.

Lake Oconee Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Jones County, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-6.

Coincidentally, Lake Oconee Academy and Jones County will both be playing Mary Persons the next time they take the court. The Titans will head out to face the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Greyhounds will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
