Civic Memorial had lost eight straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-7 to make it nine. They took a 24-17 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Taylorville Tornadoes. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 35-9 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

Civic Memorial's loss came despite strong showings from Luke Clouser and Kevahn Flanagan. Clouser rushed for 130 yards on only 13 carries, while Flanagan rushed for 56 yards and two scores.
