Cabell Midland had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Parkersburg Big Reds. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 2-0 victory last Saturday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Cabell Midland took both sets by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-14.

Katie Lawson paced Cabell Midland's offense, picking up seven kills. Lawson got some help from Jillian Yost and her 21 assists.

Cabell Midland's win bumped their record up to 41-5-1. As for Parkersburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-17-4.

Cabell Midland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Spring Valley on the 25th. As for Parkersburg, they will challenge Hurricane at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
