Basketball Preview: Coahulla Creek Colts vs. Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors
Coahulla Creek is 2-8 against the Warriors since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Coahulla Creek Colts will head out on the road to take on the Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Coahulla Creek focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday.
Last Friday, Coahulla Creek didn't have too much trouble with the Panthers at home as they won 63-45. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Coahulla Creek.
It was another big night for Cullen Marti, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds. Carter Quarles was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 65-56 to Adairsville. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Coahulla Creek is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.
Coahulla Creek strolled past the Warriors when the teams last played back in January by a score of 69-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Coahulla Creek since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
