While Melvindale put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Crestwood. The Cardinals blew past the Chargers 14-0. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won 19 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Melvindale is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-14 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Crestwood, they dropped their record down to 6-17-1 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home.

Crestwood wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 20-0 defeat against Clarenceville on the 28th. Hopefully Melvindale paid attention to the Chargers' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
