Football Recap: Hillcrest Skates Past Sheffield with Ease

Hillcrest never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the Sheffield Knights 32-0. The win was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Hillcrest found their leader in sophomore Kentavious Westbrook, who rushed for 31 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for one yards and one touchdown.

Hillcrest didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Zyir Johnson and Frederick Robinson.

Hillcrest's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 4-5. As for Sheffield, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Hillcrest wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 48-26 win against Bluff City on the 30th. As for Sheffield, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-0 loss against Mitchell on the 30th.
