Basketball Recap: Sparta Comes Up Short

Sparta suffered their biggest loss since January 10th on Friday. They came up short against the Norwood Pirates, falling 63-43. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Sparta's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Norwood, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 19-5.

While Sparta had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
