Meanwhile, Wallkill waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Huguenots. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.
Wallkill got a massive performance out of Audrey Reeves, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Charley Callahan, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Wallkill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Paltz only managed six hits.
Wallkill's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Spackenkill, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Spackenkill hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .329. However, it's not like Wallkill struggles in that department as they've averaged .350. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
