Jonathan Musgrove put up the most strikeouts he's had since April 3rd on Wednesday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out five batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

Even though Musgrove couldn't lead Poway over Carlsbad, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
