Basketball Recap: Varnado Takes a Loss

Varnado won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They lost 70-50 to the Pearl River Rebels. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Rebels recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Varnado's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Pearl River, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Varnado will welcome Riverside Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pearl River, they will host Archbishop Hannan at 7:20 p.m. on Friday. Archbishop Hannan will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Pearl River surely won't give up without a fight.
