If MacArthur wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Jacksonville, they should've done a better job of containing Easton Ackerman. The Crimsons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 36-33 victory over the Generals on Friday for which the team can thank Ackerman, who rushed for 235 yards and three TDs. He is becoming a predictor of Jacksonville's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 3-1 (and 1-3 when he doesn't).

The win got Jacksonville back to even at 4-4. As for MacArthur, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Jacksonville will host Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Crimsons will be up against the Railsplitters' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.86 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for MacArthur, they will head out to challenge Quincy Notre Dame at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders' defense has only allowed 13 points per game this season, so the Generals' offense will have their work cut out for them.
