Football Recap: Jacksonville Victorious

While Jacksonville's win against MacArthur wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Crimsons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 36-33 victory over the Generals on Friday. The Crimsons haven't had any issues with the Generals recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

It was another big night for Easton Ackerman, who rushed for 235 yards and three TDs. Those 235 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Braden Hutchinson was in the mix as well, providing Jacksonville with two scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Jacksonville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 560 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

The victory got Jacksonville back to even at 4-4. As for MacArthur, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3.

Jacksonville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 77-0 win against Lincoln on the 24th. As for MacArthur, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 49-7 loss against Quincy Notre Dame on the 24th.
