Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Gatlin Hanrath and Bre Kidd Lead Lowell to Victory

Lowell hadn't done well against Highland recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Lowell Red Devils blew past the Highland Trojans 56-32. The Red Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 24 points or more this season.

Leading Lowell to victory were Bre Kidd and Gatlin Hanrath. Kidd went 7 for 17 on her way to 21 points, while Hanrath dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds. Kidd continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Elysia Laub, who posted four points and nine rebounds.

Lowell's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-5. As for Highland, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-8.

Lowell will face off against Andrean at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Highland, they will head out to face off against Hobart at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
