Baseball Game Preview: Oregon Panthers vs. Janesville Parker Vikings

The Oregon Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Janesville Parker Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games Oregon has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Thursday, Oregon didn't have quite enough to beat Monona Grove and fell 6-5.

Carson Gehrke made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. He also scored a run, marking his first of the season. Ryan Dins was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Meanwhile, Janesville Parker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Vel Phillips Memorial, falling 19-9. On the bright side, the nine- run performance marked the Vikings' highest-scoring match to date.

Janesville Parker's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Oregon, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Oregon took their victory against Janesville Parker in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 7-1 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
