Basketball Recap: Warrenton Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked St. Dominic

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ursuline Academy, Warrenton was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the St. Dominic Crusaders 48-46. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Warriors' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 307th, while the Crusaders are ranked 102nd).

Warrenton has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season. As for St. Dominic, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.

Warrenton will face off against St. Charles West at 5:45 p.m. on February 6th. St. Dominic has already played their next contest (against Ladue Horton Watkins), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
