Brooks (Killen, Ala.) surged back to grab a 45-35 win over
Munford (Ala.) Saturday.
After taking the lead on a defensive touchdown, the Lions went into halftime with a 28-18 lead. The Lions scored the winning points with a rushing touchdown that came in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring 14 points in the third, Brooks still trailed by 3 points going into the fourth quarter. But 13 points in the fourth helped BHS pull out the victory.
The Killen school didn't take the lead for good until the the fourth quarter when it ran for a touchdown.
Javonta Johnson was the top performer for the Lions. He ran for one touchdown.
Munford's
Monteo Garrett played well. The junior quarterback threw one touchdown and ran for three touchdowns.
The loss comes after Munford defeated Fairview 41-27 last week.
