Volleyball Game Preview: Camelback Spartans vs. Browne Bruins

For the first time this season, Camelback will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing at home against the Browne Bruins at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Camelback is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Camelback lost 3-0 to Valley Vista on Thursday.

Camelback took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Camelback saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Phillip Gonzales had 14 assists and eight digs.

Meanwhile, Browne came up short against Valley Vista on Friday and fell 3-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Bruins in their meetings with the Monsoon: they've now lost three in a row.

The final score came out to 25-20, 20-25, 25-14, 25-18.

Camelback's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Browne, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Everything went Camelback's way against Browne when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Camelback made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bruins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
