Soccer Recap: Independence Plays to a Tie

For the first time this season, Independence was forced to settle for a draw. They and the Ryan Raiders finished up their contest with a 2-2 draw on Saturday.

Christian Bourg and Parker Bates scored both of Independence's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Independence's draw gives them a new season record of 1-1-1. Meanwhile, Ryan's record is now 0-2-1.

Independence will take on Wylie East in a tournament on Thursday. As for Ryan, they will be taking part in a tournament against V.R. Eaton at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
