Softball Game Preview: East Bay Indians vs. Freedom Patriots

The East Bay Indians will challenge the Freedom Patriots at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

East Bay lost 18-3 to Plant on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost six in a row.

East Bay saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jensen Nelson, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. That triple marked the first that Nelson hit this season.

Meanwhile, Freedom came up short against Armwood on Thursday, falling 16-6. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

East Bay's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Freedom, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Everything went East Bay's way against Freedom in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as East Bay made off with a 21-0 win. Will East Bay repeat their success, or does Freedom has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
