Baseball Recap: Delavan Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Delavan extended their winning streak to three on Saturday, bumping their season record up to 8-5 in the process. They had just enough and edged out the Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs 5-3. Five seems to be a good number for the Panthers as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Braden Arrenholz was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024.

As for Deer Creek-Mackinaw, they now have a losing record of 7-8. They haven't had much luck with Delavan recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

On Deer Creek-Mackinaw's side, they got a good showing from Chase Noe, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Chuck Hathaway was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Drew Swadinsky, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Deer Creek-Mackinaw beat Delavan by a score of 8-3 later that day.
