Softball Recap: Bay Path RVT Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tri-County RVT, Bay Path RVT was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hudson Hawks, sneaking past 13-11. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Minutemen considering their two-run performance the match before.

Miranda Linde was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Isabel Mclam was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Bay Path RVT kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

With the win, Bay Path RVT broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-7. As for Hudson, they dropped their record down to 4-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bay Path RVT will challenge Shepherd Hill Regional at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Minutemen's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hudson, they will take on Acton-Boxborough at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
