Volleyball Recap: Mill Creek Takes a Loss

Mill Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hebron Christian Lions. If the Hawks were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Lions when the teams met back in August of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-14.

Gracie Ridgway paced Mill Creek's offense, picking up four kills. Ridgway got some help from Sara Rogers and her seven assists. Rogers was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Mill Creek now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Hebron Christian, their win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-2.

Coincidentally, Mill Creek and Hebron Christian will both be playing Jefferson the next time they take the court. The Hawks will head out to face the Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Lions will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
