Rouse wins going away against Southwest

Recap: Rouse Raiders vs. Southwest Dragons

On Thursday, Rouse didn't have too much trouble with Southwest on the road as they won 71-52. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Rouse.

Rouse's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jojo Moore, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Moore has scored at least 25% of Rouse's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Brown, who scored 22 points along with 8 rebounds.

Rouse has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Southwest, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rouse will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lehman at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Lehman will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1064th, while Rouse is ranked 59th). As for Southwest, they will head out on the road to face off against El Paso at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. El Paso will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
