Basketball Game Preview: Notre Dame Titans vs. Green Bobcats

Notre Dame and Green are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Notre Dame Titans will welcome the Green Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Notre Dame beat Northwest 58-52. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Titans.

Meanwhile, Green suffered their biggest defeat since November 30, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Symmes Valley, falling 85-59. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 591st, while the Vikings are ranked 274th).

Green has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Notre Dame, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Notre Dame took their victory against Green in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 66-41. Will Notre Dame repeat their success, or does Green have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
