Basketball Recap: Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans vs. Liberty Lancers
Fountain-Fort Carson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They came up short against the Liberty Lancers, falling 66-45. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-62 on February 4th.
Despite the loss, Fountain-Fort Carson still got an impressive performance from Tyshawn Miller, who posted 11 points. What's more, Miller posted four assists, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Ira Steele was another key player, putting up six points and six rebounds.
London Praytor continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Liberty, dropping a double-double with 21 points and ten boards. The matchup was Praytor's eighth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Cunningham, who went 7-for-12 to rack up 16 points.
Fountain-Fort Carson's defeat dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Liberty, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
