Soccer Game Preview: Harker Heights vs. University

The Harker Heights Knights will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the University Trojans at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Harker Heights' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Harker Heights' defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They had just enough and edged Chaparral out 1-0. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, University didn't have quite enough to beat Midway on Tuesday and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by just one goal.

This is the second loss in a row for University and nudges their season record down to 2-2-1. As for Harker Heights, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Harker Heights beat University by a goal in their previous matchup back in January of 2018, winning 1-0. Does Harker Heights have another victory up their sleeve, or will University turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
