Volleyball Recap: Fenton's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Fenton had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They won by a set and slipped past the Ridgewood Rebels 2-1. For the Bison, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Rebels walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Fenton got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 19-25, 25-16.

Daniel Garfias paced Fenton's offense, picking up 11 kills. Garfias got some help from Michael Wrona and his 34 assists. Garfias was also solid from the service line: he led the team with seven aces.

Fenton picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 4-9. As for Ridgewood, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 13 games and leaves them with a 13-2 record.

Coming up, Fenton will take on Bartlett at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bison are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Ridgewood, they will square off against Oak Lawn at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
