Belmont had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 28-point drubbing they dealt Walnut on Friday. The Cardinals simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Wildcats 40-12. The win continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won five in a row.

Belmont got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Peyton Pharr out in front who threw for 259 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 17 passes. The Cardinals' leading receiver Aden Waddle was Pharr's top target yet again, picking up 121 receiving yards and two TDs.
