Soccer Game Preview: Northgate vs. Arroyo

The Northgate Broncos will head out on the road to square off against the Arroyo Dons at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Northgate has given up an average of 3.3 goals per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Northgate came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 5-0 to Archie Williams. While losing is never fun, Northgate can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 616th, while Archie Williams are ranked 252nd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arroyo). They were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over Hayward on Wednesday.

Arroyo now has a winning record of 5-4-2. As for Northgate, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-4.
