Basketball Recap: Kellogg Takes a Loss

Kellogg lost against Timberlake back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Kellogg Wildcats were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 61-60 to the Timberlake Tigers. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Tyler Engelson, who went 9-for-19 on his way to 32 points and eight boards for Timberlake. Timberlake is 4-2 when Engelson posts 25 or more points, but 5-8 otherwise. Maximilian Simpson was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and 17 rebounds.

Kellogg's record is now 10-9. As for Timberlake, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.

Looking ahead, Kellogg and Coeur du Christ Academy will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest, having both just played. As for Timberlake, they will square off against Priest River at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Timberlake is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.8 points per game this season.
