Texas high school baseball offensive stats leaders

The baseball season in Texas is winding down, but the numbers of some players is certainly rising. MaxPreps looks at the top five players in three major statistical offensive categories.

Batting average
Aaron Walters, Sr., Center Point, .662
Walters has been on a tear all season. He has a .757 on-base percentage with 47 hits and 31 walks. Walters has 15 multi-hit games and has at least one hit in each game.

Charlee Robertson, Jr., Azle Christian, .660
Robertson has two or more hits in every game this season. He has 11 doubles, at least one in each one of the last five games.

Matt Nicholas, Sr., New Braunfels Christian Academy (New Braunfels), .652
Nicholas has recorded 11 games with multiple hits. He actually has more RBIs (37) than hits (30).



Ethan Lincecum, Sr., Nazarene Christian Academy (Crowley), .648
Of Lincecum's 46 hits, 24 have been for extra bases. He's registered a hit in 21 of the 24 games he's played.

Christian Carrizal, Sr., Austin (Houston), .632
Carrizel has only been to the plate 69 times this year, but has registered 12 multi-hit games.

Home runs
Aaron Walters, Sr., Center Point, 13
Walters went on a two-game tear in which he went 6-for-9 at the plate with six home runs and 15 RBIs. He has as many doubles (13) as he does home runs.

Stacey Bailey, Jr., Kerens, 12
Bailey has hit long balls in 11 games this season and three a four-game stretch in early March. In those three games, he drove in 10 runs.

Drake Pierson, Sr., Northside HomeSchool (Conroe), 9
Despite not homering in the last 10 games, Pierson has still put up impressive numbers in the homer category. He has three multi-hit home run games.

Cameron Haller, Sr., Marshall, 7
Haller has put up seven home runs this season and four in the last nine games.

Noah Rodriguez, Jr., Victoria West (Victoria), 7
Seven of Rodriguez's 30 hits this season have gone over the fence. He had two home runs and five RBIs in the third game of the season.

Stacey Bailey, Jr., Kerens, 59
Bailey has tallied 59 RBIs in just 28 games for Kerens. He's driven in a run in 21 games.

Tanner Broadfoot, Sr., Clyde, 50
Broadfoot has four or more RBIs in four games this season. In 23 of 31 games, Broadfoot has produced an RBI.

Zach Goree, Sr., Woden, 49
To go along with his 49 runs driven in, Goree is hitting .500 on the season.

Matt Richter, Sr., Riesel, 47
Richter has 13 RBIs in his last seven games to make this list for the first time. He had two or more five-RBI games.

Aaron Walters, Sr., Center Point, 47
In his 11 of the past 14 games, Walters has registered 13 RBIs. He also has eight RBIs in the last eight games.
