Joshua is 8-1 against Mansfield Timberview since August of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Owls will look to defend their home court against the Wolves at 5:30 p.m. Joshua will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
On Tuesday, Joshua was able to grind out a solid victory over Burleson, taking the game 3-1.
Joshua had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-17, 25-18, 25-11.

Joshua can attribute much of their success to Madilyn Lacey, who had 26 digs and two assists, and Ruby Vincent, who had 15 assists and 13 digs. Lacey is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 15 games she's played.
Meanwhile, Mansfield Timberview didn't have quite enough to beat Centennial on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The Wolves have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Mansfield Timberview started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 19-25, 22-25, 25-21, 25-12, 15-8.
Mansfield Timberview's defeat dropped their record down to 12-19. As for Joshua, their win bumped their record up to 24-9.
Everything went Joshua's way against Mansfield Timberview in their previous meeting back in September, as Joshua made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Owls repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
