Northeast won the last time they faced Stewart County and things went their way on Thursday too. The Northeast Eagles walked away with a 6-2 win over the Stewart County Rebels. The six-run effort marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The team relied heavily on Cameron Skaggs, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Cayden Young also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Northeast now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Stewart County, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northeast will welcome Clarksville Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Northeast is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Stewart County, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Henry County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
