Soccer Recap: Angleton Comes Up Short

Angleton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the George Ranch Longhorns. Angleton were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced George Ranch earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Angleton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3-1. As for George Ranch, the victory got them back to even at 2-2-1.

Looking ahead, Angleton will take on Georgetown in a tournament on Friday. As for George Ranch, they will be taking part in a tournament against Fort Bend Marshall at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. George Ranch will be up against Fort Bend Marshall's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.75 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
