Charlottesville is 9-1 against Monticello since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Charlottesville Black Knights just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Monticello Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Charlottesville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.

Charlottesville will head into Monday's contest hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 40-point drubbing they dealt George Washington on Monday. Charlottesville blew past George Washington 76-36. The Black Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Monticello was beaten by East Rockingham 65-27 on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 371st, while the Eagles are ranked 76th).

Charlottesville pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34 points. As for Monticello, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
