Softball Recap: Chicago Washington Comes Up Short

Chicago Washington came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 23-12 to the Lindblom Eagles. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Viviana Sanchez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Barbara Knezevic also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Chicago Washington's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Lindblom, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-6.

Lindblom didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 14-4 victory against Brooks on the 29th. Hopefully Chicago Washington paid attention to the Eagles' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
