Baseball Recap: Cushing Comes Up Short

Cushing lost against Groveton on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cushing Bearkats might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 5-3 to the Groveton Indians, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Bearkats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cushing's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Groveton, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Cushing has already played their next contest, an 8-7 victory against Chireno on the 8th. As for Groveton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-2 win against Centerville on the 10th.
