Baseball Recap: Progreso Takes a Loss

Progreso was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 8-4 to the Santa Rosa Warriors. The Red Ants were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 26-13.

Ismael Estrada was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Progreso's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Santa Rosa, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-13.

Santa Rosa wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-0 loss against Raymondville on the 24th. Hopefully Progreso paid attention to the Warriors' matchup: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
