Soccer Recap: Morgan Comes Up Short

Morgan fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Ogden on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Morgan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 56th, while Ogden are ranked seventh).

With the loss, Morgan broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-6. As for Ogden, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morgan will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on South Summit at 3:30 p.m. on April 9. As for Ogden, they will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Ben Lomond at 5:30 p.m.
