Basketball Recap: Eaton Eagles vs. Franklin Wildcats
Eaton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a hard 72-53 fall against the Franklin Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 624th, while the Wildcats are ranked 223rd).
Kai Cook was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 36 points and ten rebounds for Franklin. That makes it four consecutive games in which Cook has scored at least a third of Franklin's points. Christian Mcguire was another key player, going 6 for 10 en route to 15 points.
Eaton's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Franklin, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.
Eaton will head out to take on Brookville at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Franklin, they will be playing at home against Clinton-Massie at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Clinton-Massie will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Franklin surely won't give up without a fight.
